Hello, my name is Kathy Niewald. Welcome to Kathy’s Teddy Bear Shoppe!

Since starting Kathy’s Teddy Bear Shoppe I have created over one thousand custom teddy bears. I have shipped bears to 39 states and countries such as England, New Zealand, and Germany.

I have been hand crafting custom teddy bears made from recycled real fur for more than 20 years. These bears have traditionally been sold only at juried craft shows and high end art festivals in my home state of Missouri.

Now you can buy real fur teddy bears directly from me and I will ship your bear right to your door.

I specialize in creating heirloom teddy bears. Beginning with a fur coat or stole that has special meaning to your family members, I transform it into it a beautiful tribute bear – a memory that you will be happy to display and one which will last for many years to come.

Every Kathy’s Teddy Bear has fully jointed moveable arms, legs, and head, hand blown German glass eyes, and ultra suede paws and soles. I line each bear with muslin for added strength.

I create bears that range in size from 9″ to 24″. Some of the furs that I have used include mink, fox, beaver, muskrat, coyote, rabbit, and Persian lamb.

NEW ITEMS – BENCHES, STOOLS, AND PILLOWS! I’m excited to announce that Kathy’s Teddy Bears is now offering benches, stools, and pillows made from recycled fur, just like my bears. Pillows can be shipped but because of their size benches and stools are only available at shows or for local pickup – sorry, no shipping on benches and stools.

My 18″ x 18″ fur pillows are lined with unbleached cotton muslin and a poly blend fabric that matches the fur. I use a commercial grade pillow insert with a hidden velcro clusure at the bottom (see photos).You can change the pillow insert when necessary.

My local clients have been telling me for years to get a website so I can share these wonderful bears, pillows, benches, and stools with the rest of the world. Well, here it is!
